To celebrate the paperback edition of her excellent Darklands Tale. Queen Macbeth - and the fact that another of her many terrific protagonists - Karen Pirie - is back on our tellies, I sat down with Val for a chat about life, and love, and reading, and writing - and she also discussed her choice of a favourite Scottish album, film and book.
